Hi

Living in the country I was not surprised to hear a mouselike squeak from time to time inside the car.

Ah, how sweet...probably a fieldmouse...

It was the seatbelt roller! Speaking to me as I moved.

Shame, I liked the idea of a mascot.

Still got teddy.

I seem to have a mouse tied to the propshaft - there's a sqeak from somewhere under the gearstick area that is proportional to road speed, independent of gear and engine speed.

I gave the front joint a few squirts of grease yesterday to see if it went away. At least I think I did. It was getting dark, and I'm only mostly sure the grease went in the joint.

The mouse is still there, anyway. A bit quieter though.

A mouse recently go under the bonnet of a friends Vectra SRi V6 2.6.
It chewed though wiring and air con pipes.
I had a look first and so complicated there was nothing I could do so it ended up at main agents.
End bill was over £1000 to correct damage !

Wow! Bad news!

I had one that lived in my traveller spare wheel bay years ago. And a couple of spiders...No damage was done tho'...

What happened to the mouse or shouldn't I ask?

He "culprit" wasnt caught.
All the neighbours opposite me had had problems this year with mouse damage in sheds and garages.
I've 6 cats and hate them killing things but the neighbours are amost cheering when I tell them about how many mice they have caught.

BTW Had a squeak on my Minor. Sounded like it was comming from suspension - turned out to be the top engine steady loose to body.
