Hello Jonathan,

I think this is what you need:- http://www.uroglas.com/trolleyed/127/189/index.htm.

Alec

P.S. I am interested to know why you use stainless steel rods to TIG weld your chassis rails?

Hello Jonathon,

I just checked the link but it did not work, reverting to www.uroglas.com gives a site maintenance notice plus an e-mail address for contact.

Had a look... it says £130+vat, and for all Minors except split screen - They have a pdf file that explains it, if you click the downloads button on the left pane of their page. I don't think I should like straight to the pdf here, but its easy to find.

:)

Since I had an annoying screen yesterday morning and had to wipe it every 2 minutes, it sounds like a good idea now! Anyone got one? Whats their experience of it?

They're wonderful. Will help clear mist (but use only sparingly, not designed for continuous use) and are fantastic for ice. In heavy frost, start car, switch on screen. Quick scrape of side windows and just drive away, Literally less than a minute for clear screen. The earlier ones heated only to within 3 inches of each side, the latest ones are full width. Expensive compared to standard screen but well worth it.

Thankyou for the replies, it seems that the euroglass site is down, so dropped them an email but no response as yet. Really wanted to buy from the manufacturer, as a better discount is offered, even trade only get 10% max at B'ham, however this seems to be my only option at the mo.
Thankyou again :D

Hello Jonathon,

strange that the link in my bookmark works but the pasted link above did not. However from the page I bookmarked there is the following information:-

Uroglas - Specialist Automotive Glass Distributors
Bromsgrove Worcestershire England
Tel: 01527 577 477 Fax: 01527 576 577
Enquiries: Martin McCreedy <shop@uroglas.com

I hope this brings more success.

You must have missed my P.S. in my first response, but I asked as to why you use stainless steel rods when you do chassis modification? (This was something you wrote in a post which I can no longer find.)

Cheers Alec, had to opt for ESM in the end, as uroglas don't seem to want my business!!.
Sorry but I did miss your p.s, I can only imagine that the mod in question was our coil-over kit, in which all welds are stainless tig weling. The reason is purity and strength, not my words but those of the company who fabricate the brackets. They are stainless specialists. We only use mig on the standard chassis and bodywork.

Hello Jonathan,

thanks for the explanation, although I seem to remember that the brackets are made from an alloy steel rather than stainless hence my query?

Alec, the brackets are steel and the tubing CDS2, all fittings are EN16T, the stainless rod adds strength and clealiness of weld. I can ask them for material spec and associated reasons for this on monday.
I can certainly confirm that the welds are extreamly strong having had one of our K powered travs run into by a GPO van, a 60mph impact on the o/s/f corner. The whole A arm and bracket stayed in one piece, but unfortunately the car was written off :(
