Hi, don't know if this is in the right section, but I want to buy a new Voltage Stabiliser for behind my speedo.
It seems they are only for sale second hand...are they not made anymore or do I look in the wrong places ?

Strange isn't it ? I can buy just about everything new for Minors here in Holland and something like a voltage stabiliser can't be even obtained easy in the UK...

Lee, that one is also second hand. I would like a new one as I like to replace everything on my Morris which is broke by a new part.

New Old Stock. It means it's never been used, but it's not brand new either. Most likely been stuck at the back of somebody's stock cupboard for twenty years.

Nobody bought it, so you could contact the seller and ask if he'll sell it to you anyway.

I'd rather have a brand new one, but thanks for the link Lee ! Learned what NOS means anyway !

Ok, so you think the original stabilisers aren't produced new anymore ? You're right then, I have to go for such a new model, have any experience with them ?

Without digging through my boxes to find my pile of Minor speedos, is this the same?

I think it should be, as it looks like the one off the earleir type Mini speedo to me, but I could be wrong. Might still fit on teh back of the Minor speedo though :)

a stabiliser should give out 10v - So if you have a voltmeter you can check a s/h one to an extent. It's also possible to build a semi-conductor (modern electronic one) into the old metal casings, but I don't know how much work that is to do.

Looks a lot like it indeed. I will send them an email to ask if they know I can use it for my Minor. Tnx.
