Hi, Im new here and Im hoping someone can help me. I am currently thinking of purchasing a morris minor reg no OPP 122H and I am wondering if anyone knows this car or anything about it? It has a fairly new MMOC sticker in the back window so I am presuming that it has been fairly recently owned by someone who is a MMOC member?

This will be my first MM restoration and I am really looking forward to it. Currently my husband and I are restoring a 1976 mini clubman and have already restored a 1985 mini mayfair so although we are not new to the hard work of restoring we are new to Morris minors although they have always been my favourite cars!

If anyone can help me at all either with information about this particular car or with hints and tips on restoration I would be very grateful,

Thanks

Heather

Hi Heather I cant help with the car but you will find some helpful points under the Technical Tips section under the main menu and this list will also help a bit.

It will also be useful to join the local branch as they should be able to offer some advice.

Thank you for your reply. I have been having a good look round this site and it seems invaluable for all aspects of MM ownership and restoration so I am very glad that I have found it!

Does anyone have any ideas hopw to find out exactly what work the car needs and whether it is worth buying or not? With the minis we work at a garage with someone who is an expert in them and he already knew both cars when we took them on but the MM I am looking at in an unknown quantity and I need to know that it is worth taking on and an idea of what needs to be budgeted for. I thought of putting it in for it's MOT but that doesnt always cover things that need restoring and so although it would give me some idea I know it wouldnt be thorough.

I live in Leeds and this is where the MM is at present so if anyone can help me at all I would be very grateful.

Thank you

Heather
