Hello All,

Just looking at my old girls woodwork (the trav') and was wondering how difficult it would be to do a partial replacement?

Perhaps the side widow rails and corner posts.

How difficult is it to remove the sections without destroying everything?

I have read Steve Foreman's info' but was wondering if any folk on the forum have done similar work and how it went?

With hindsight, is it worth it? Obviously you can save quite a bit of dosh and I suppose in a purist sense it retains more originality.

Any thoughts?

Looks like I will have to discover the pitfalls for myself :)

I just hope when I fall in it isn't complete with upward pointing sharpened stakes :o

I suppose I could just book it in to Steve (or another) and get the job done ............ although I can think of a 1000 or so reasons why that probably can't happen

Just from framing up at the job (no pun intended) and reading what I have so far, the scariest bit looks like the rear roof gutter. But I suppose from past experience, it's usually the jobs I dread that turn out to be the easiest

I am sure they can give you some advise if you ask them, I am of no help whatsoever, since I only have saloons.
