I've got B&Qs all-purpose glue which says does rubber, metal etc... but am a bit concerened about it...

What do other people use to seal their window rubbers when putting new one's in?

And do you put it both rubber-metal and rubber-glass?

I would get the proper stuff from your local windscreen repair center
Do not use silcone as this sets too firm and will crack the screen in time .
I found out this the hard way.

As Gas says get the right stuff, what are you doing the windscreens or the side windows, and they can be a pain I cheated and used a local RAC windscreen fitter on mates rates and was grateful with the trouble with the rear screen.

Thanks, I'll do that then.

I'm doing them all but suspect I'll need help with the rear and/or front screens so am starting with the side windows and seeing how difficult that is... and then will decide whether to take the front and rear to autoglas or somewhere.
Yeah, s'not what you know, s'who you know, obviously ;). I got a quote locally for doing the whole lot and it was nearly £200, which I dont have (and wouldnt want to part with so easily anyway), but when I broke Ray's windscreen (not on purpose!!) the guy who fixed it in Coventry said to take it along there and slip someone a tenner, so I may do that next time I'm up there. Hopefully he might remember me..

We have never used any sealant on standard Minor windows, just plenty of washing up liquid!

New soft rubbers always ensure good sealing.

Ditto John, but we use white grease as lube.
