rusty radiator grille

The grille on my 69 moggy is very rusted and sad looking. Is my best option to have a new one inserted or strip down the current one?
This is sold in small and large white tubs and is a bright green goo with the consistency of part set jelly (not the similar Hammerite product that should be mixed with water). Apply the gel to rusty areas using a small brush with stiff bristles (an old 'firm' toothbrush also works well). Leave the gel on for 15 minutes. Then scrub the area several times with the brush and leave alone for a further 5 minutes. Then wash away all traces of gel and dry the area with a rag or paper towels.
You should find that much of the rust and all the rust stains will have gone. Repeat the process on persistant areas if necessary. I used it on the grill of my 'scrap' Minor 4 years ago and it still looks better than in 1999. This stuff really works - It does exactly what is says on the tin!
This gel also works well on pitted chrome - it brought my hub caps up to a good standard for the Brighton rally, so much so that my wife though I had bought new ones.
Best of all is the fact that it involves very little effort to use
