Front Badge Colours?!?!

Post by hanmorris1000 »

Hi,
I will need to eventually paint up the Morris Minor Badge on my bonnet.
I have been told to use airfix paints? Could anyone tell me please what the names of the red and blue shades are. I want to get it right.
Thanks
Lisa

I wouldn't have thought you would be able to get an exact match in humbrol paint. But the colours you need are bright red and a pale blue. I just used a marker pen and nail varnish.

The nail varnish is Rimmel 'Lasting Finish' 061 Exotica. A bit faded after 2 years but not yet worn off.

My badges are a little faded, does anyone know Humbrols or equivalent closest match for both the red and blue?
Thanks.

I used one of those cheap acrylic paint sets with little pots - the sort of thing that used to come with painting by numbers! And mixed till I was happy with the colour. Finally a coat or two of clear lacquer to give it a shine.

Thanks, I did similar and it looks much better, probably is way off the correct shade, but who cares!
