Clutch judder in reverse

Post by iddy »

Just fitted a new gearbox steady cable and it's made a big difference when reversing. There's practically no judder at all now. Mind you, there were only two slack strands left on the old one :-? .
Idris.
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

Your lucky, I changed the cable on my car and it still judders in reverse, sometimes, although not as bad as it was.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

It's one of the 'charms' of a Minor.

I think it must be an internal fault on the clutch of my car, or glazed flywheel.

Funnily enough, since driving 400+ miles on the East Kent IOW trip, the Traveller hasn't juddered at all!
