What year did they start making the 10V?

Are there any special things about it?

Are you on about the engine number? 10V just means 1098cc inline. The engine numbers changed format at about 1970.

The prefix of 10V indicates that the engine (1098cc)has 'controlled breathing' i.e. it doesn't just breath into the air filter.

Would it be a problem that I have replaced all these modern gubbins with the old setup I had?

I changed the tappet chest covers, and the rocker cover.

Got room for a mechanical fuel pump as well.

It really is amazing that I always tend to end up with low compression engines :D

NO, as long as you have changed all of the relevant fittings including the oil
filler cap.
