Hi,
Can anyone tell me a few bits of info on the Riley 1.5 (early 60's model)
What diff ratio does it have?
Is the engine considerably different from the BMC 1.3 / 1275 version in terms of size, frontplate/backplate mounts etc..
What size wheels did these Rileys have - was it the 3J*14" like a Minor?

Lo, the diff ratio was 3.7-1. The engine was the 'B' series 1.5ltr
in almost identical tune as the MG Magnette. The original tyre
size was 5.00X14" increased in April 1959 to 5.60X14" but I do
not know if the rims were widened then.

Hi,
Thanks for the info anyway - the car sold today though!
At least it's going to a good home rather that someone who just wants a few parts.
I just found out it had 145 tyres, so maybe they didn't increase the rim size.
