Anyone know of any good garages who know what a Minor should sound like when its happy? The closer to Glasgow the better!
Thanks

Sorry dont know any up there.
But to answer your question, a little bit noisy, a little bit squeeky, a little bit farty and a character all its own and lots of fun.

Its not absolutely necessary to go to a Moggie garage to get good work/ service done. Just ask around for an "old boy" type mechanic who has a good reputation, and who when you bring the car in reminisces about the Moggies he used to run and what good cars they are.

McFadden will be your best bet - he specalises in MGs - but will understand your Minor. There are a couple of Mini places in Glasgow - best avoided unless desperate. Anything worryingly wrong with the car at present ? Whereabouts are you - i'm near Hamilton

Just possible radiator/water pump/thermostat problems (that I'm not certain are problems!). Has a leaky heater control valve too, but will (try to) change that myself. Looking for a decent garage with a tuned ear who can hear it and know if anything else 'sounds' wrong! I'm not sure of the noises I hear (yet) and wouldn't mind it getting looked over just to check it! I'm in Glasgow - brought it through Bellshill the other day - not far from you!
Thanks

Car came from near Morpeth - all the way up the A1... onto the Edinburgh bypass... then took it easy on the A71 instead of the M8, through Bellshill onto the A725, and finally making it to the southside in only 9 hours (!)
