Is there a kit to make the front seats moveable?
both me and she who must be obayed drive gwendolen (brought up in wales (the car!)) and i require more legroom but there are only so many cushions you can put behind and still be safe! i suppose it could help if you crashed while reversing, anyway back to the plot i do not want to replace the seats as yet as i would like to get some milage on her (the car!) before we start modifying! so is there anything on the market to adjust distance from the pedals?

The later seats are adjustable (a bit). My traveller had an adjuster thing perhaps some one will have one for sale/swap.

Have a look behind your left leg for the adjuster (if there is one). Failing that, some folks have put blocks under the rear of the seat frame to tilt it up and forward a bit. I thought ESM sold them but can't find them on their web-site, I'm sure someone of shorter stature will be along to confirm.

cheers all for these ideas, no adjusters at all on the seat so i might try the block suggrstion as a temp fix while butchering a metro, just what they were made for i guess. no harm in having a higher view on the world.

All Minor Driver's seats are/were adjustable - its just that with swapping seats over you sometimes end up with 2 passenger seats - like me.

Both Phoebe and Doris have a pair of passenger side seats! Pain in the a*** really as if the gf fancies a run round the block (I'm trying to get her to use Phoebe a bit more) I have to get the sockets out!!!

In the last Minor I drove I managed to adjust the standard drivers seat backwards whilst driving! I'm nit sure I've ever achieved that before as it normally involves stopping and getting out of the the to fiddle under the seat whilst giving it a shove. (It wasn't my own car where I adjusted the seat - so the owner is probably wondering why her seat feels a bit far back

)

Thanks everyone for all the replys on closer inspection i do have an adjuster (passenger seat) quickly swapped, the reason this was not spotted is the end of the arm has broken off so i have 3 positions, do not know if it should have more. has moved the seat forward about 1.5 to 2 inches. so will see how we get on with that.
does antone know if the bar can be replaced (supplier) or i will have to make something up to suit. either way happy again just more effort involved in making!

I don't think you can get replacement parts for the seats (apart from covers, foam and straps) but worn out seats are pretty worthless so the easiest option might be to get a cheap/free drivers sea and transfer your cover and straps etc.. onto the donor seat.

- if yu can, post a piccie of what you need replacing, because when I made mine, I cut off the existing bits under the seat, you may need what I've got....??

thanks blueangelical i will get a photo of it. it is the bar with what i can best describe as teeth for the pin to locate in! hope that made some sense. anyway i am happy enough to move position as i have to at the moment and when i get a chance weld some kind of handle onto the end.

I seem to remember a poster doing a poll about adjustable seats a while back...
I think he/she was doing a design course or summat
anyone else remember?
I'll have a quick search...
Edit:
Here it is
Maybe he's finished his project by now
