Anyone recognise this MM?

The picture was taken sometime between 1962-65, at Whipsnade. I'd love to know if this car is still around, though I suspect it isn't. Would still be interesting to know the exact model minor this is and what the official description of the colour was. It had the indicator flags but these weren't operating by the time we acquired it. I have very fond memories of this car. I'm the one peering over the dash board.

I can't find the car on the DVLA site.

This convertible (tourer) would be an early 1000 (1956-1959)
Numberplate would date it somewhere in that period too, and the car was registered in Guildford.

I can't tell what colour it was, but my guess would be Clarendon or Birch grey.

Hope this helps

That is very helpful, thanks.
The colour, which may not show up too well in the photo, was an olive green, so if Clarendon was a green that could be it.

Ow...green. The colours I mentioned are both Greys.

Dark Green then.

But from viewing greys at the National, they can appear to be very green or brown. Again though, I'll have to leave it to the saloon folk.

Even though Grey would be the most important colour to know about on LCVs. :D

I'd take a guess at Sage Green for that one - doesn't quite equate with what I'd expect Dark Green to look like.

Platinum Grey? Call me old-fashioned but I'd say it was a grey.

I totally agree! I look at it as if it is a old fashioned flip-flop paint
