Moggy has 948 engine with twin carbs.
Starts ok from cold, runs and pulls ok no missing at any speed, tick over ok.
Stop with warm engine, ticks over no problem. However, turn off and won't start?????
Usual checks plugs, points etc. all ok.
Ang suggestions?

Flooding over from the carbs ! Check the float valves and levels. One tip is to fit secret switch for fuel pump - switch off before you stop and use up the fuel in the bowls. Also good simple anti-theft device.

Change to a single Carb much easier to look after and no performance loss if you fit the right one.

Ah - but maybe it's a 'period' mod.

If it starts ok if you try immediately after turning it off but will not start if you
leave it for a while then it is probably heat related i.e. the fuel may be vapourising as the heat rises when switched off.
