I have a minor van fitted with doors from a four door saloon which do not fit flush with the B post where the lock is fitted. The doors fit perfectly with the vertical draught excluder on the B post removed. Is the saloon fitted with thicker excluders than the van, Any advice???? Also can the door window seals be substituted with more modern ones taken from another car (thinking about scrapyard cars).
Cheers

The Minor van uses the same doors as the 4-door. Your problem should be simply down to misalignment of the door-gear / latch mechanism.
Don't know about the draught excluders, but there are two types available now. The original type, and a more modern alternative with a larger, softer bubble, which could be your problem.
Window seals are available from Minor specialists. Most more modern cars have window seals that fit over flanges on the doors, rather than within channels as with the Mog, so probably wouldn't be suitable. Try one of the mail-order suppliers, as this shouldn't work out too expensive. You might like to think about changing the door-to-glass brush seals for the new lip-seals that are available. Dead easy to fit, too...

the modern window aels are called lip seals and are available from all leading morris minor stores.
doors do vary in size, ie if yours are slightly wider this may not give enough clearance between the post and the door.I have the same problem with the passenger door onnmy pick up and yet the drivers side is fine.

Does the door fit if you remove the seal completely? If so,and
you have the normal thickness of seal then close the door without
the seal on and check the clearance between the door and the
mounting flange for the seal. If it is too close at any points then
bend it to the correct position.( it is difficult to avoid damaging the
paint on the flange). The lower horizontal window RUBBER is
a great improvement over the original, not only stops water but
presses on the glass and stops rattles! and draughts!!
