Is the moggy 4 x 100mm or 4 x 4 inch stud pattern?

4x4". 4x 100 might seem to fit, but it doesn't

The 100mm pitch wheels DO NOT fit. Don't even try it!! There was a story on here a few weeks (months ?) ago of someone who tried this - and kept losing the wheels. Very very dangerous.
If you want excellent inexpensive front brakes - go the Wolseley 1500 9" drum route - this retains the 4" pitch and saves all manner of cost and trouble. And after a very hard run uphill and down dale in the Borders yesterday - i can again confirm that these WORK - and without the slightest suggestion of fade!

Brakes should be discussed at least every 200 posts

probably... But I'd want to fit the right wheels before even attempting to brake!

dnac is looking to upgrade his brakes/rear axle - from other threads. So this thread relates directly.
