Anyone knows if all models had black parcel shelves?

Any other colour ever used?

Hi
My 1962 948cc saloon with duatone interior has a white/cream parcel shelf and heater mask. I think they went to black shortly after the introduction of the 1098cc and flashing orange rear lamps

Matching trim was used on the '56 to '62 cars as follows: Maroon up to car no.
693331, Dark Sage Green to no.693807, and Grey to car no 693588. There
was also a period where the Parcel Shelf Roll, heater shroud, and headlining
were Light Beige. The Minor Millions had White rolls and they became Black in
1962 with the introduction of the 1098 models.

I was told (correctly or incorrectly) that only the black "Card" is now manufactured and that it was a Model T Ford ..

Ps:- Max's parcel tray is aluminium ...

My black 66 with red interior had a black parcel shelf.

Its long since gone in the bin and been replaced with my own plywood replica.

I think I have got a black one, but it is a bit hard to see, since it is a series II (which is black...as you may know)

Has anyone modifies the parcel shelf by cutting out the section under the heater (everything gets stuck there) and fabricated brackets for the cut ends?
Ideas welcome or photo of such a mod.

Cheers

What?
And spoil the fun?

Always gives me a laugh when I pinch the wifes bag/lunch/bottle of water/etc/...

Certainly don't cut the shelf... the padded front bar would look odd otherwise.
