convertible hood material

i've finally got myself a convertible, it's MoT'd but will become a rolling improvement project.
i'm thinking of replacing the hood but not sure what's best.
i've seen vynide, everflex, canvas, mohair.
ESM do the everflex for £140, are these a tight fit or a bit loose to allow for shinkage? anyone bought one?
there's a vynide one on ebay, don't know what make, is this fabric better than everflex?
or would i be better just getting one made to fit from a coachtrimmer?
john from minor miracles gets his made by a chap in his shed in birmingham somewhere, anyone know of him?
any advice appreciated.

The wouldn't be our friend in Kidderminster at Minor Developments would it? He's the only one I can think of round here.
From what I've been told the ESM hoods are good, they need trimming to fit. I don't know about shrinkage though, the guy local to me who recently fitted his hasn't had it on long but he left it a little slack just in case. It's only been on about 4 months so I'll ask him if he's noticed a difference in it.

thanks lee, all info appreciated.
when you say trimmed to fit what do you mean exactly.
when we had a had made years ago the coach trimmer made the bits that go inside the car very nicely, no cut edges etc, all edges turned and sewn. can i expect this sort of detail on a 'mass produced' hood?

From what I remember it was a little oversize in places but I'll pop round tomorrow and ask where and how he trimmed it and if he's had any shrinkage.

I have the vinyl type hood which I fitted about eleven years ago. It was
slightly oversized (fouled the door tops) when fitted but these hoods SHRINK
gradually and it is no good fitting it loosely because it will flap on the hood
sticks at any sort of speed. Mine is now still a nice fit but it is pretty taut after
all those years!
