Provided you can source a head !!
Have you looked at the pictures! Theres a lot more to it than sourcing a head. I'm not saying it's a bad idea quite the opposite!! The guy who did this deserves a medal!

My first guess is that he'd loose the original cam and go for electronic gubbins and a crank sensor to run the ignition, but instead he converted the A series cam and both BMW cams to dry belt, by moving the crank seal into a timing chain blanking off plate and adding 3 custom cam seals and a tensioner assy.
On top of that, converting the block to inline 10 studs and filling the block deck with plugs - some of which come right next to the new stud holes.
Then machining the pistons to clear valves (nearly got it right). Blocking and remaking custom oil paths to/from the head and finishing it with a slightly modified position of the fan belt.

Holy Moley! Buy that guy a beer!

Or if anyone comes up with a 'bolt on kit' to get it to work on an inline 1275 A series - I'll buy him a crate.
On the inline configuration you may have to find another water outlet position for the heater or notch the bulkhead crossmember as the outlet on back of head looks a challenge.

Any idea of the cc of the BMW head? The bore spacing question is the one that probably merits the most investigation along with the problem of wall thickness. What is the general view on BEST BLOCK for an inline?

As to the water take-off, how about tapping into the core plug on the side of the block? Also, there is the drain tap on the exhaust side of the engine?

You can use an A+ block but this has less metal in this area,
You'd also need to check that the high mounted oil filter clears the inlet arrangement. This all looks like great fun, and it's great to see good use of the A-series but on the flip side it looks like more work than changing the engine altogether for something like the Fiat twin cam
