Minor assembly lines
Does anyone know where they were built, besides Oxford (Cowley), Adderley Park and Amersfoort, the Netherlands? And how does one tell them apart?
English built cars have Triplex toughened glass
Dutch assembly used Staalglas
Surely there are more factories, each with their own special features, and use of local industry.

The CKD cars assembled here all had local ID tags whereas the UK build cars have Cowley ID tags.
Also, the firewalls on our CKD cars are 2 piece with a joining strip running horizontally. All the UK built cars I've seen have 1 piece firewalls.
CKD cars here used some local parts - trim, radiators, some electrics & glass too I think.

Yeah, I think it was known as the the 'Britan' or 'Britin' (Sorry about the spelling) works and based in Dublin. I can find out when I open the bonet of my Minor which is Irish. Basically, all the parts were fully made in England, then boxed up and sent over the Ireland on the boat for assembley by Irish workers (a bit like Ikea). All Irish cars were made in Dublin and have an additional plate beside the chassis and engine plate on the engine bulkhead.okay... and there was one in Ireland I think
