Got myself some waxoyl for the undercarriage, but being new to this I want to make sure I do it right.

Is there anywhere I should NOT put waxoyl on? eg the muffler and exhaust? Suspension? Anything at all?

The exhaust should be avoided and anywhere you think might need to be welded soon in the future as waxoyl can catch fire when your welding.

If your car is really sound, I would take off the silver sill covers -found at the bottom of the door shut) (three/four screws at the top and 5 nuts/bolts at the bottom) and waxoyl inside the sill structure, also waxoyl inside the front and rear chassis members and inside the a posts.

Yes, do not coat the exhaust system though you can dip each exhaust bolt
and nut used throughout in waxoyl. Pay particular attention inside the boot
where the hollow ends of the chassis outrails are(on the extreme right and
left), squirt the stuff up the open ends under as much pressure as possible
which will protect the rear spring hangars and the box sections much further
forwards. Remove the upholstery panels either side of the rear seat and
spray Waxoyl in there for all you are worth which will protect the rear sill
sections.

I have seen an article about wayoyling a minor - where to drill holes and loads of info, But I can' tremember where.
I'm sure someone here will have it.

I don't actually thing there need to be drilled any holes. All box sections are accessible.
Kickplates and door cards need to be removed, as well as the front and rear quarter panels. And the rear seat.
