Not everyone's cup of tea i know, but does anyone know where i can get a front spoiler from for a minor, or better still has anyone got one they want to part with? I remember you used to be able to get the fibreglass spoiler and bumper valance in one but are they still available? Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for that! Do you know if a picture is available? I want one for my pick up that went back on the road today after sitting in the drive for the best part of 8 years! MOT'ed yesterday and taxed today so i have spent the evening driving around in it!! I'd forgotten how nippy the 1275 engine was and as for the 5th gear, what a difference that makes!

Excellent. I've just about finished one pick-up (1275), and the next is getting a type 9 5 speed (1275), the one after - I'm considering a 3500 V8 - next, I fancy a 1098, and my last is getting the other 1275

I'm also gathering parts for quick A-series minor. So far got uprated front suspension and tele shock kit, JLH disk kit, rear lowering kit LCB and free flow exhaust. Also got a knackered 1275 Midget engine that used to go like stink and an unleaded 12G940.
Pretty soon I'll have to decide if it is all going on a car that has been sitting off road for 35 years!!

I work about 4 miles away from my DVLA Local office which is very handy so i managed to nip in after work to get the tax! The MOT was the last appointment yesterday so picked up the pick up after work and went straight to the test centre!

I have the 1275 Marina A-series (not the A+) with the type 9 5 speed and it is a really good set up. I ran it for a few years in my saloon but when that "died" i transplanted its organs into the pick up but other Minors kept getting in the way of finishing it, so today is quite a historic day in my book!

Many thanks! The poor pick up has taken a back seat as a low priority over the rest of the families daily runners and my lowlight tourer project but the last few months have been free to allow me to get on with it at last! I have found a picture of the spoiler on JLH's home page but if Jonathon is about later then a clearer view would be great!

I think a front spoiller "spoils" the look of the car. Its like a satellite dish on the front of a thatched cottage.

At least its a removable mod!

The pictured spoiler is no longer available, and is significantly different to the one we produce. The function of the spoiler is to direct air from under the enginebay.At high speed the air build up in the engine bay will disturb the front end considerably, giving v.light steering and an unbalanced feel.Not that many here will do this but at over 100mph the front end will become even more vague, at 120+ even worse, the spoiler is designed to eliminate this problem, and achieves it quite descretly.

well i think the spoiler looks good, i have all ways thouight that there was something missing from the front end

The red convertible John put up also has welded shut doors. (If it's the one made by the Reading Morris Minor place)

Last I heard it was off the road after suffering a rather nasty engine seizure...
