I've just realised that Rosie has a low compression engine (as in 10V 189L not knackered even though that is also true). Which parts are different, are they interchangeable with high compression engines and where would I get the low compression bits?
Thanks,
Philip

low compression
To elucidate, the ONLY mechanical difference is the pistons, the amount ofdish
is much greater on the low compression engines. The other difference is in
the distributor where the serial number is 40899B as opposed to the high
compression type which is 40849B (1098cc).

AFAIK, she'll be fine with the standard ones, but the comp ratio will be raised. You'll have to wait for the engineers gang to tell you exactly what that implies - I don't want to be told what a cretin I am.
