Hiya all,has anyone got any ideas of an easy? way to fit a split screen screen???All the best,John.

There isn't one. Never tried it myself but I'm told it's a real pig.

One of our branch members has done a few and says it's easy.

Can't comment myself. I've taken them out but not put them back in!

hiya john, ive just had them done buy a pro, although i told him how to do it from an article in an old MM mag. took an hour i think, ill dig it out tonight,steve

cant find it mate , but heres what u do anyway, the glass has to be fitted as one like the later cars, to do this we put a dummy centre pillar made from wood inbetween the glass`, held in place tight with duct tape both sides, the screens can then be lifted as one, fit like normal screen then, start pulling string from bottom ending at the top where my rubber ripped slightly , just as it said in the MM article, in places he had to help thr rubber with a plastic knife, the worst bit is fitting centre pillar, the new onw i bought, wasnt as good a fit as the old pitted one so i reused it, gives it a bit of character!, never did go home perfect but pretty good with a bit of "dum dum" at the bottom, hope this helps john,steve

definatly a 2 man job, i was the 2nd man, fair play 2 the fitter , he let me tell himhow to suck eggs with instructions
