Does anyone know if the front uprights from a Wolseley 1500 will fit a Moggy.
The reason for asking is that I have 2 pairs that came with brakes attached, the only visible difference is that the steering arm is in the top, shall I say, position. Don't think that the steering track rod would hit inner wing on full rebound, but I'm not 100% sure. Hence the post.

Hello Ian,

they will physically fit but the different steering arm position may affect the geometry and you could get a lot of bump steer. I do know that fitting one produced a strange weaving effect when I did that many years ago. Not recommended I think.

I think you have to move the steering arm - otherwise the same!

But you cant move the steering arm. on the front leg , as you will know, there are two protuberences [ bulges], on the minor the bottom one is drilled to fit the arm and on the 1500 the top one is drilled.

I thought perhaps both holes would be drilled. So - you need to get drilling !! And keying !! Idoubt if it's worth it. Sell them to a Wolseley or Riley owner - must be owners' clubs I suppose!
