Due to a moment of madness, PMT, phase of the moon - I dont know the real reason,
I have just bought a 1955 Split screen Morris Minor
5.15 on ebay, yesterday - I havnt even seen tha car yet
Yes - I know - Im completely round the bend - Im a woman, Im allowed to be!!
There is no MOT, but I am told that it failed on the brakes (whatever!!) & Its been serviced on a regular basis.
Yeah - I know there is one born every minute!!
Can anyone recomend a good parts company, my partner has found out with he's 71 VW that you dont touch certain makes/companys cos they aint that great!!
And yes Im going to get the manual.
Any help, advice etc would be greatfully accepted
regards
Fiona

Welcome aboard.
Two good companies for parts are: East Sussex Minors (ESM)
http://www.morrisminorspares.co.uk/
and Bull Motif Spares
http://www.bullmotif.com/
If you need early rare parts then contact club spares. The contact details are in the club's magazine (Minor Matters). Have you joined the main club yet?

Great stuff. The magazine has lots of adverts from traders and has a parts for sale section which is worth a scan through.
A Minor is pretty easy to work on and don't be afraid to ask for advice on here even if you think it's a daft question, just post it and we'll do our best to answer any queries.

The best thing to look at is a recent MOT fail sheet. If it has lots of structural rot, you're probably best off finding a way out of completeing the deal

Minors are great cars (simply the best) , unless they're completely rotten.
good luck.

It must have been sound enough to pass in february 2005. At least someone has taken the trouble of saying it's 1098cc
