Yes its Matthewsons, I pass there regularly and keep an eye out for Minors.
Generally I always feel they are a bit overpriced but I am no expert.
It is however the perfect location for a vintage garage.
Also I noticed if a car doesnt sell at auction at a later date they can be open to offers.

They had a good Javelin go through the salerooms some time ago but it had been a museum piece for a long time which put me off. I think they also had a couple of Vanguard Vignales which were a bit steep for me.

Matt Tomkins wrote:I had a look round the smoke grey trav when i was up there a few weeks ago. pretty tidy at first glance, but a recent, already cracking in places, respray which was poorly masked masked me ask the question 'has it been tarted up to sell?'
I would doubt it. That garage has been there for years, and is well known to specialise in classics.
I couldnt be happier with my Minor. Absolutley immaculate. The prices are quite high, I paid around £5000, but again, its a really tidy car.

Transitional Traveller (note the clap-hands wipers). Spotted Sat 26th Jan on New North Road in Hoxton/Shoreditch (I wasn't driving so could snap this from the passenger seat).[frame]Image[/frame]

A Morris Minor 1000 Traveller is being restored in Paphos just up the road from where I am staying in Cyprus. The body and paintwork are in excellent condition, without the usual rust at the bottom of the doors. The woodwork is in very good order and the wood across the rear doors is carved with the words MORRIS MINOR. The only rust seems to be underneath at the sides of the floorpan where water and mud is thrown up from the wheels. The climate in Cyprus is good for keeping rust at bay! The tax disk on the windscreen shows the car was last registered in 2002 so it has been idle for 10 years. Mileage is only c34000 as Cyprus is not a very big island and the superb condition of the pale blue seats suggests that is correct. I look forward to seeing progress when I am in Cyprus again. Enjoy the photos![frame]Image[/frame]

At the Christie Hospital in Manchester, on Friday 9th Feb, a green (Almond?) traveller with Minilite wheels, the number of which I failed to get but they were in a striped style type.

Also, parked outside a block of flats on Alan Turing way, a car I regularly see there, a white 2-dr saloon fitted with Webasto roof, reg. no. XDM890H

Spotted 2 Minors around Birmingham/Worcestershire this afternoon. A traffy blue saloon by the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, and an OEW convertible in Bromsgrove.

Both were parked up, so didn't see the owners. I was in Borris :D

Spotted an maroon early 1000 traveller this morning 1 mile from home. Didn't get a good look at it as it puddled past quite quick, presume early 1000 as the reg is LSK ? ? ? , and it wasn't a splitty. will hopefully see it again as it's seems local to me.

I often see a lady from the older generation driving a 4 door 1000 saloon, white/cream around warrington. Passed her several times, but only in the modern, so giving her a flash and a wave might seem a bit odd :D
