you may be thinking why repair it ,when i can buy it for £50 , but i need all the money i can as im saving up to have the shell of the morris acid dipped next year
next pic is the outer section made from cardboard first .then when im happy with the fit il make it from steel and weld in ..[frame]

then more plates are made to get rid of bad pitting on the same side .[frame]

next up will be a few more pictures showing the progress on the other side of the tunnel , this was a lot more involved as the plates was a lot larger and more complicated with curves.[frame]

i had to clamp a flat piece of steel to the panel , then beat it to shape , this took a bit of time to do .then i marked the old panel to cut out and then i made the outer edge .[frame]

all finished and ready to prime ,first il etch prime using aerosol, then red scotch to key it up then i used underseal to protect it from stones and water.[frame]

i also stone chiped the top in places .this saved me time and save me using filler to smooth it all down , even thought i did use a little filler to smooth the top section of the tunnel.[frame]

The stone chip is from Kent ( the company) part number 404 I think . It's really good stuff . I'm gearing up to send the shell to an acid dipping and priming company .

First time I've seen your thread and I'm impressed

I do like the bonded door skin repair, very neat, and you paint finish looks beautiful. I will be following with interest and looking forward to updates - probably in another six months

hi all it must have been around 6 months since my last post

,sorry guys !!, now iv been busy this week stripping the rest of the car ready for it to be sent away for acid dipping and etch priming . im still looking around for the best price but i think it will save me some time as im not keen on taking the sealer and oil and rust off my self . heres a few pics of the car ,or whats left of it !!![frame]
