Hope you're still ok Iain! Whiplash can take a few days to develop.
I had a big crash at the weekend (not in ther Minor) and am a bit stiff and bruised - although not nearly as bad as my passenger!
As a result I am unlikely to get the pick up MOT's for the national - front suspension is nearly finished but it needs a lot of welding.

Aha - I recognise the van in that '2-tone' colour scheme

Yes, it was rather distinctive..... Rose Taupe is the original colour though, but it was light blue when I bought it in '97 as my first car, with the intention of carrying out a rolling rebuild. I still miss it & hope to have another Moggy again one day!

Hi Paul,
Nice to hear from you again. Sorry about the van, but it will be rebuilt! It got named 'Gaffa' soon after we bought it due to the temporary repairs onthe van body, and the name stuck even after the gaffa tape was replaced with metal... We did the JOGLE run in 2004 in Gaffa when I proposed to Rebecca at John O'Groats. We then used Gaffa as honeymoon transport in 2006 doing a tour of the Outer Hebrides before going on to John O'Groats again and doing the JOGLE Run. Seemed appropriate really....
I sort of continued doing the rolling resto theme which is why more colours of primer appeared as time went by and it only got the shiny top coat last November, the week before it went on the club stand at the NEC (probably the car with the freshest paint at the show!) so was doubly miffed about the accident. Even more so that I hadn't upped the insurance value after the paint job and the new bits went on... It even broke the dynamo that I fitted 4 days before the accident
Anyway, I've had lots of support from folk in the club and have now got nearly all the bits I need. Found a bonnet and bumper at the National Rally, and now the insurance assesor has seen it I can get stuck in with the repairs. It has been declared a write off, but I insisted on keeping it, so I'll find out what they'll pay out in due course.
Happier days:
Even happier ones:
Wedding and honeymoon trip round the Hebrides and John O'Groats:

Btw sorry for hijacking this thread, but its a bit late now for whos going to the national anyway...

Nice to see the Avoncroft pictures, oddly I didn't get any at the time which showed the van I bought later! Was a good weekend that one.
