I have been learning in a lime green Fiesta diesel and it is so very different to my classic petrol! I have my test tomorrow so fingers crossed I can explore the world on my own in 'Fiona' - my 2 door.

Ok my mistake, I have just found the pictures (didn't realise how many pages there were )
I rather like the colour scheme if I am honest, although as others have said, get an original cream/white grill and make it look like it's an original car with an optional paint job instead of trying to make it have modern features.
Looks like a good buy.

definetly going to fix that grill, maybe back to chrome, maybe keep it black and just repaint the surrounding bit that they've painted black. depends how easy/good looking it'll be. it's bothering me to no end! hopefully we're going with the trailer to get her on wednesday - she's in cambridgeshire, and we're in south wales, so it's a bit of a trek, but well worth it!
First off, those numberplates are going! I'm keeping the reg, but I really don't like modern plates, so back to black and silver for her.
I definetly want to keep the lime green, but I do want to make her look more standard (kill the batman logos! D<), and get a boot-rack so I can go picnicing in her <3 Another thing i'd like is some rounded chrome mirrors, i love the look of them. My poor dad keeps having to hear about how I want to take her back to being more standard.

I love lime green and morris minors, so finding a lime green morris for below £1000 was.. like.. for want of a better word: amazing.

I'm road-learning in a Ford Focus.. it's so easy to drive after being used to rough and ready trials landrovers without power steering.

I know the feeling of waiting to pick it up. Mine was in a garage for 20 odd years and advertised on here. We looked at it, got a local garage to pick it up and repair it to MOT standard. The final day it was ready and I could go and pick her up was amazing. Certainly takes months to beleive that 1. you have your own car and 2. you are a classic car owner. Very special cars too.

Any idea where in Cambridgeshire it is just out of interest as I live in Cambridgshire but obviously haven't seen this one around. Quite a way from Wales too!

I found the Fiesta easy to drive too but not very enjoyable. It is totally different to a petrol and its a quarter of the age of mine.

Also I can now see what my uncle (another classic car owner) means when he says newer cars don't have the character and are rather large. Moggies are so roomy inside and so easy to see out of. I reckon half the problem is the seat headrests.

well, i know it was first registered in '70, so it's one of the newer moggies... also it was bought for a girl as her first car a few years ago, she was never going to sell it, and her dad spent a lot of money on it. she used it as her wedding car, then got divorced, and can no longer bear to look at it. she just wanted it gone, so her dad has sold it for her. i have no idea of it's history before then.

it's a bit of a sad history, but the rest of it's life will be good <3

Ah car history can be a very interesting thing to look through when your bored! My two cars between them have had a total of 20 previous owners and had 5 different number plates!

I suppose I'm just lucky, I got about 20 years worth of paperwork with each car!
Though It should say on the V5C how many former keepers it has.

That was the one that was on ebay four or five times on the trot 3/4 years ago!

Glad to see it having gone to a good home

oh yes, it has a good home now! it's parked between a pinzgauer and a landrover at the moment looking very out of place. i'll have pictures on sunday!
