Super day out - much thanks to aupickup and Wibble for organising/navigating/leading etc. - lovely bright crisp weather, beautiful scenery, good eats in the tea-shop, and of course what a great bunch of people!

Best memories are of people seeing us drive through, and smiling, waving, clapping - we seemed to have caused a little happiness wherever we went! Also the look on the AA recovery man's face as we passed him as he was loading on a broken down Freelander - he was pretty impressed I think! And the old feller in a grey saloon coming the other way - unfortunately he didn't turn round and follow us!

Oh, and all of us alternately swerving and swearing when a gritting lorry passed us coming the other way doing about 60 down a small country lane - oh, our poor paintwork!

Here we are at the meeting place:

And here are the cars close-up:

Here we are in the tea-shop desperately trying to warm up!

A photo opportunity of all of us with our cars at a rather impressive school!

All in all a great day - thanks again to all!

that is one dirty van :o

Hope the big man has seen the tribute to him and Lou - Alex and I nearly froze to death out there! 8)

The Luxo-staged pic was taken at Worth Abbey, where my liddle brothers went to school. Slightly bizarre that no one made an appearance to challenge us as we made ourselves at home right in front of the main entrance...

We really covered some ground today, saw huge reams of Sussex, from Lewes to Worth, from Albourne to Maresfield. So many cute villages, so many winding country lanes, so many frost-covered fields and wintry hedgerows, and as Sue said, so many gorgeous houses that one couldn't possibly ever afford :D
