Hi Rob - thanks for setting up the SADMOG site - as paul said it'll make it easier to locate the venues...
I hope to be along on Thurs.

Shall we stick with the Oak for this week? We were too far for Mike last week.

Anyway, I liked the Oak more than the Barleycorn :-)

Hi all

Rob the SADMOG site is great thanks for doing that, it helps and I like the happy moggy as well as the ref to the moggie fanciers, perhaps the next addition (this is another daft Ugabugchugabug idea) could be a sub site for moggy spotters (people standing in parkers with pads out on roundabouts looking for our wee beasties!).

Onne it is a long way however if your passing Bognor thursday, have time for a cuppa, give me a shout and we could create BADMOG!

Antony :D

Thanks guys,

I've added a few more pages, and some pictures for some of the pubs. I have asked the 'official photographer' (SADMOGs will know who I mean ;-) ) to collect some nice shots of the pubs during the day. When the days draw out again we will have to try and pose the cars in front of the pubs, like the cricketers picture.

I'll add a page later for some of the other stuff we have done (web rally) and are going to do (Basingstoke milestones museum day TBD?)

For my sins I have also added my e-mail to the front page and will try and answer any requests from people interested in joining us for a drink.

Sorry we are the wrong side of Southampton for you this week Antony and Onne, hope you can join us soon when we are east of Southampton again, or perhaps when we do a weekend day out?

You might want to obfuscate that email address, unless you like spam...

you are right, just decided to sign up for one of the free accounts that the web host provides, will have to remember to check it regularly.

also gives us the nice e-mail of sadmog@morrisminor.com

I'd still obfuscate the address. Actually, I wouldn't have posted it here openly either :-)

I don't have an addresses with gmail/hotmail/yahoo/etc and I've never posted my email address in plain form on any web pages or newsgroups. Result is (so far) a total absence of spam.

unfortunatly, I won't be making it this week. But I suggest the bold for next and will post my plan sometime on Friday.

Incidentally, I'm doing a project website at uni and I have decided that SADMOG would be a good subject. When I get it done, I'll post a link and we can see if it meets with approval. No obligation of course!

Plan? for what?

Remember, it must render on any browser on any OS. If you make it IE-only I'll wrap a large paperclip around your neck :-)

Seriously, I can offer as testing platfoms:
Safari and Firefox2 on OSX10.4
Firefox 1.5.0.9 and IE6 on XPPro
Konqueror and elinks on Redhat EL3

That should cover all the bases, I think :-)

I know it needs to render in any browser! The biggie for the course is Firefox 2.0 and Opera. (our lecturer hates IE with a passion - a view I also hold)

Jay, we're going to the Oak Inn, in Bank near Lyndhurst. http://www.greatbeer.co.uk/hamoain.htm

Dan, your lecturer sounds like a decent chap if he hates Internet Exploder :-) I just had this terrible feeling the college would be MS all the way. Glad to hear it's not.

Oh, it nearly is. But they have firefox and opera for web dev courses

Wow what a turn out.

Definatly a record. For those interested (in no particular order)

Ugabugachuga
Jayminor
Jimk
WPR678B
Mike Shipman
Rob Jennings
Peetee
Onne
Paulk
and Colin and Josh (2 locals that are not on the web)

At this rate we'll need our own Pub!

And the cars:
Lizzie (Rob), Benny (Mike), Maude (Paul), Lemming (me), Mildred (Jay), Elizabeth (Onne).

That equals the best car turnout, too.
