I know I've got the floor section and the crossmember as I've seen them
Yep but you have to cut a lump out of your floor I think.

Last night the general consensus was while you've got all the right bits its not a straight bolt on job. It will need, some/quite a bit, of fettling.

OK, fair enough. Nice to have people around with experience. Carlo's done this swap (at least once) I know, and did Pete swap Joe's engine or did he come with it?

With any luck I'll make next thursday - I'm back on wednesday night.

Carlo estimated 2-3 hours for an engine swap, thats 1098 to 1275 so no changes to anything else required.

Even doubling your original estimate won't work because it will then take twice as long as your new estimate.
Voice of experience talking there :o but I know exactly what you mean

Where to this week then?

I suggest that one in Ashurst, next to the station.

BTW I've just got the piccy's from the rally back. Fantastic random shot of RogerRust. Must remember to bring them this week.

I don't think I can make it.
It's the School nativity play. I shall be at the back sticking red hot pins in my eyes for a bit of light relief

Anyone around to meet this Thurs (21st), any preferences on venue?(have to say the Ashurst pub we were in last week is nice - good beer, nice ambience...and easy to find in the dark!).
Regards Mike.

err think its called the new forest pub?

otherwise Ashurst station which is right next to it is your best landmark, follow the signs for that

Coming from Soton its past the Happy cheese, Over the bridge and just on the left. You'll see us parked against the road side of the car park normally.

turn at the sign for the station, once you go over the railway line, you probably won't see the cars until you turn in. the station is the best landmark for you
