I also unearthed the push button wash wiper components, I don't think it's complete, but it's a good start.[frame]Image[/frame]

Dash controls in and complete, just need to connect up and see them working now. Exhaust on order from Bull Motif should arrive on Tuesday. they have no slide switches or wash bottle brackets in stock, so they will have to wait.[frame]Image[/frame]

washer bottle bracket, at least, is in stock at ESM.

i can't find a slide switch (in or out of stock), so you might want to put in the code number to their search :)

David, I have a spare slide switch I removed from my 1968 saloon I scrapped a couple of years ago. I think I might also have a servicable washer bottle clip! You can have them free - just PM me your address. Here's a pic of the switch - it sill has the wires connected so you can see which one goes where.[frame]Image[/frame]

exhaust putty and normal exhaust clamps should suffice. i wouldn't weld it, it would make it difficult to remove.

David
Chock the offside wheels and lift the nearside, put onto axle stands.
If working on your own, a couple of choices :- 1 losely assemble off the car with the clamps roughly positioned.
or 2. assemble individually, working from the manifold to the back of the vehicle.

Plenty of rope/ gaffer tape, blocks of wood. jacks etc to position/ hold up the bits in situ.
If you value your nice paint job.mask up/ protect where the down pipe goes through the lower bulkhead "hole".
Once it is "dangling " in roughly the right place, make sure nothing is fouling the bodywork then you can go back to each joint, seal with exhaust paste and do the final clamp up.

Nice one, no welding upwards, no welding at all. I'm on Late shift tomorrow so I'll drop into my local auto factors and pick up some exhaust putty.

3) Loosely assemble ON the car with the clamps roughly positioned.
You need clearance where it goes through the bulkhead and where it passes by the cross member.
Half an inch should be enough.
As ever, don't go bonkers tightening the clamps up, I've seen systems where one pipe has been crimped into the one it joins, cue curses towards the dozy previous owner or Kwikfit gorilla!

Handsome! Yeah, David, you'd be shocked at how well the pipe sections hold together with clamping and a bit of age...Mog's was impossible to disassemble (even with plenty of heat), and it was never welded.

as suggested I'm holding off from applying the paste while I dry fit the parts to see it all goes on, here the clamps are hand tight on the manufold outlet.[frame]Image[/frame]

But even hand tight the clamps hold the box in position so I can line up the next section.[frame]Image[/frame]

The tail pipe should be a side exit, not up under the floor

ok, agreed, but does that mean I have no use for the third length, or should I cut a short length off and just use that to finish it out the side in front of the rear wheel?[frame]Image[/frame]
