Why 'near to the motorway'? There's loads out this here, f'rinstance if the drive I presume we're having happens to come this way, and it's only 4 miles from the M'way. Cribbs Causeway sounds profoundly unappealing to me.

I am trying something near the motorway because of ease of people leaving afterwards (especially if people don't know the area)

There's a couple just off the M5 I think... near to the M4 junction :)

Or your way :)

Yup, I had worked out why - s'just not the most attractive part of the area.

Cool - if you're serious. There's some nice ones in Saltford, but that's moving away from the Mway... Could go to the one the club used for the xmas lunch, or the one down by the locks.

hmm - yes but I just looked at the MOT... Runs out 31st March
I'll be expecting a few more jobs additional to brakes and engine, although the cars probably done only around 1000 miles since last MOT :(

Which one is going to show off our fair City in the best light then!? :D

Can't have all these visitors to Brizle thinking we're uncultured...

And yes, I'm serious! :)

Don't go without me! :D

- Moved me job down to Tewkesbury now, so even closer, I can probably definitely come!

...Oops... just noticed. I think my sister might be springing a sprog around then and she's come back from Cambodia to do it, so i want to see her.... but that would be just about the ONLY reason I couldn't come!

Well, it'd make sense... Then people can travel out of town after we've done the Clifton suspension bridge :)

Well, unless it's on the day or close to the day then I think you'll probably be OK. Will you be coming in Wilberforce?

Nikki, are we having entry forms and the such like and them sending them to you?

Yes i'll be coming in Wilberforce! (Aslong as he's still alive or reincarnated - he's oozing quite a bit of mayonnaisy stuff at the mo...so I'm just getting round to thinking about what to do about it...)

Baby will be born in Truro, so might be a bit far away to travel back if it's around same date. Was planning to take a few days to make the travel worth it and have enough time to see Sis for first time in over a year.. but i think the baby is due around about the 15th April, so should be ok. Will need to find out soon anyhow to book holiday!

Looks like I'll be after a lift from someone else then! :-?

As my Honda, my mum's Punto and g/f's Minor are currently top of the list for some TLC, I'm not promising to finish the Traveller brakes and engine + MOT in time. Would be a shame, but she did make it to the first Website rally.

El, Great stuff. :D At least his engine isn't leaking mad amounts of oil like Gracie's is. :( Mind you, I'll be swapping the engine at the weekend so when you are doing your wiring, think about me mauling 1098s about!

Ray, I'm sure we can sort something out. :D

Thanks mate. I'm sure I will. It's engine, gearbox & prop. The engine has not been in a car since 2001, the prop is good but the gearbox is unknown. Fun, fun, fun!

He was until 2 weeks ago! It was even dripping off the inside of the bonnet.
Tappet chest breather was very blocked, and it was blowing oily mist out of the filler cap vent.
Tappet chest breather and filler cap were both renewed and for a temporary fix, I had to pipe the breather to atmosphere otherwise the air filter was going to get too dirty too quickly :(
Ray, I'm sure we can sort something out.
 Well if you're fitting an unknown gearbox, I'd better make sure my Honda is working that weekend
ps - I've a spare 1098 box (also unknown to me) that I bought from WorkNeil a few weeks ago - let me know if you get desperate.

Phooey! As if R really thinks I'd leave him without a lift!!

...be good if you could bring him though Cam! ;-) :D

Tell you the truth I dont know where i'll be by then... I hardly know where I'll be next week.. and its totally doing my head in.
One of these days I'm going to build myself a nice little treehouse and refuse to come down... get supplies sent up in a bucket.
With my little pot-bellied stove and sister catching me rabbits, I'll be fine!

Hey Cam, would you like me to come and help with moving engines? (I'll direct!), and you help me with my wiring? :P

My engine's not leaking oil so much... actually it is, but not as much as Gracie and less since Ray performed magic on it a bit back - but it has suddenly decided to use vast amounts of fuel! Its getting well expensive to get to work and back - about £40 a week!
