To check all is well - remove the flasher unit and temporarily join all three wires together - now try the stalk both ways - do the lights and the stalk light come on ?

Hi thanks for replying. Connected all 3 wires up and yes the stawk light comes on and the relevant indicator bulbs light up

Fraid it is then the 'wrong' flasher unit.....

I suppose (perhaps with some risk) you could try swapping connections 1 and 2 for a trial...........

QUOTE. (On the flasher unit are the wire 1. Power 2. Wire for bulbs.3. Stawk bulb.
Look this morning and there's no wire to the oil filter)
I was merely asking if this was the case. The light on the stawk is permanently on when all 3 wires are joined.
Do you think I need a different flasher unit and if so which one.

Last time I needed a flasher can the first 2 new ones didn't work. Best to be aware else your brain takes you off into other places.

Thanks. Will play around with the wire. I have just changed to negative earth, wonder if this makes any difference

No - should be fine - swap the wires around and see what happens. Normally the warning light would be on the 'middle' terminal.
