I am revisiting this old thread because I started it 7 years ago but for various reasons (detailed in my restoration thread) the restoration ground to a complete halt and I have only recently re-started it.
Back in 2014 it was suggested that I get a rocker cover with a breather pipe. I did this and refurbished the rocker cover. I also bought the Y-piece. I am now looking at this again after all these years and wondering how it is going to connect up? The Y-piece has 2 smaller pipes and one bigger pipe. How will this work to connect up the tappet chest breather and then rocker cover breather pipes and then on to the PCV?
Would it ruin the whole idea if I just connected the rocker cover breather pipe to the air cleaner spigot instead?
Edit: the breather pipe could be clamped down on the narrower pipes of the Y-piece with a jubilee clip but the hose is actually too big.

Ditch the 'Y' piece and just fit a 'T' piece.
The rocker cover should not have a breather pipe when used with a PCV unit.

OK well I can ditch the idea of using a rocker cover with a breather. It was something that was suggested in this thread. The existing rocker cover does not have a breather pipe so there is nothing further to do! Or is it actually a useful thing to do? An improvement?

My anxiety to get the breathing as good as it can be is to try to avoid Xavier's crankshaft rear oil seal incontinence problem! I may well find that what I have already done is a great improvement. The tappet chest breather pipe was completely blocked and then connected incorrectly to the air filter.
