Not sure if I'm impressed or worried about the speed of the rebuild but I'm impressed with the enthusiasm. :D

Very impressed with the speed that you've done this in! Wish you were all nearer Exeter, I'd be calling for many favours.
couple of things needed tightening up, and small brake fluid weep -- which reappeared on the retest :( also, handbrake adjustment. -- with the handbrake, i'd drilled the new hole through the new floor for the end of the black bit of the cable too far forward, so not enough adjustment.

another retest 9am this morning, then carpets and trim, then she's done :D

having finished uni mid may, i've been able to work pretty much full time on her, and with the help of friends and family too, lots of man hours have gone into her. this time 2 weeks ago we began reassembly after paint and she was a bare shell.
i've been working 8.30am until at least 9pm most days, plus a few all nighters.
and it's finally paying off.
Be sure to come and have a nose at national

Great news. Just take it easy otherwise you will spend the rally asleep in your tent!

Hi Matt,
I have been reading / following this with interest and I have to say that I'm impressed as well. The young members group must be a great place to be, you certainly all seem to pull together.
The car is looking really good, I shall keep an eye out for her at the national.
Ironic that it took a major frontal smash to prompt such a comprehensive rebuild! :)
Best wishes,
Mike.

Those hockey sticks are fiddly to say the least, good luck, hope you don't skin your knuckles too much fitting them.
Hope you're still going to drive it, now it's this good... :P
Best wishes,
Mike.

yeah, the threads in them have gone unfortunately, so going to get an m5 tap, then put some nice long m5 studs in, alraldite them in, then hopefully they'll be easy enough :)

Good idea, when I next have to take mine off I think I'll get some araldite and do that myself.
Regards,
Mike.
