I agree - if you use any tool badly it can cause serious injury with or without your PPE! However its equally valid that you should not be using the grinder without PPE! (tbh for me its normally just eye protection of some sort, occasionally wrap around glasses inside googles!)
If you wish, you could write a post about the use of grinders, detailing good technique and the hazards involved - but also include PPE and if its good/appropriate we could add it as a sticky to the top of the page?
We don't read every post, I don't know about all the others - but I certainly don't! I havent got the time, neither have I got the time to add caution warnings to every message which could potentially be hazardous!I assume that moderators read every post, so, every time a post comes in from someone seeking help regarding anything which would involve the use of an angle grinder, the moderator could insert a "stock" post to alert the poster in question to the very real dangers that angle grinder use can pose.......a "proceed with caution at your own risk, if you decide to do this" kind of post.
