Hi All,
Been a while (6 months) but one needs a break from a project sometimes. Have had summer, boats, beaches and a few beers to attend to but finally I am back working on the Morrie.
I've rebuilt the steering rack last week and have started spraying the underseal on the underbody. Really pleased with the result! Using Wurth underbody sealant in grey - waterbased and gives a fantastic professional finish. I'll the start painting it with an enamel top coat (off the gun finish and flexible).[frame][/frame]

Just over a year after starting on the underside, I am finally applying topcoat.[frame][/frame]

Modified Morrie brakes now fitted. Not a cheap exercise, new pistons, new seal kits, freshly stripped and re-passivated calipers, custom made hubs from the UK and new hoses and new hand made brake pipes![frame][/frame]

and when you consider that these discs are about NZ$3500 each (!) I don't think I'll be going down this path!

Brakes finished, wheels on - time for a test drive! First time on the road in over 10 years, drove and braked perfectly![frame][/frame][frame][/frame][frame][/frame][frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

Went to "pick-a-part" on Wednesday as I had heard they had 2 Morris Minors - found the cars, confirmed that the blue one had excellent rear shocks and linkages, and planned to come back in the weekend when I wasn't dressed in business attire.
Turned up at 3:00pm today to be told "we've just sent the blue one to the crusher, you missed it by 2 hours"!!!!!
Got the shocks off the old flat-head. Now just need a set of decent shock links.[frame][/frame]

This is a nice MM, do you bring this back in original condition?

After many years of being off the road, my Morrie passes its Warrent of Fitness test (roadworthy inspection) on its first attempt and is now registered, fully insured and has been driven to work!
Now I just need to finish the roof gutters and do a complete interior![frame][/frame]

I know this will upset some, but having worked for BMW for 22 years, I had to temporarily make the worlds first M Minor! Dont worry purists - the M badge is now back in my tool box.[frame][/frame]
