Sorry I think you have the rose tinted glasses firmly on. BL made some appalingly bad cars (and some good ones) Badly assembled by a demoralised and deamonised workforce with non existant quality control and a work ethic which could hardly be termed exemplary. In the end the public voted with their feet!

If you're planning to hold on to a C8 would it be worth changing the injectors at 40,000? Or removing them, and refitting with copper grease (or some suitable compound that inhibits fusing)?[/quote]
Yes but £600 plus vat for a new set,and only effective way to get at them is engine out every 40.000 No thank you very much,it's going part ex. next month.
