Compare and contrast the demisting arrangement on a modern car with a Minor.

Minor demisting slot 6 inches? and a rather crude way to aim it at the screen.

Modern car, at least 12 inches and precisely angle to get maximum effect.

Anyone noticed how, on European cars the "passenger" side gets demisted faster and better?
This isn't accidental.

I recall reading that a heater, way back in the fifties, was listed as an 'optional extra'. Unbelievable!

The Minor heating/defrost system is it's only weak point, in my opinion.
You can drive more carefully in deference to its braking system, but there's not much you can do to counteract the effects of the weather, other than upgrading the existing system.
