I have been using my Minor for work for the last 8 months, I'm a mobile cleaner and managed to get all my stuff including a Henry Hoover in the boot (albeit with the back seats down!!).
However I have just bought a modern car because although I was intending to do any work needed on my Minor, I have to be honest and admit that it's not going to happen! I need my husband's help for most of it and he's simply too busy.
We are keeping Geraldine for the moment, hoping to keep her in a friends garage over the winter while we decide what to do with her. Trouble is that we don't have the space/money to run two carsI have to admit that a modern car is so much more comfortable to drive, mine is only a '95 Fiesta which probably won't pass it's next MOT (rusty front and rear sills!!) but it feels like a luxury car.
It's mainly the thought of driving for work in the winter without heated rear screen and efficient windscreen wipers etc which made me get a modern, and I am rather disappointed with myself, but when I last had a Minor both myself and the car were a lot younger - guess I need my comfort now!
