It is nice when the paint starts going on, When you first start the job seems like its never going to finish. But after the paint every piece that goes on is like a great leap forward. This one is not far off now, it will definately be back on the road for the spring.
I dont know what i`me going to do with my time when its done.

Had chance to do a bit more today, but my camera was playing up so these are the best pictures i could do. The camera didnt want to work inside. Anyway the side windows are in, and the carpet on the wheel arches, also the trim panels in the back along with some of the wood cappings, front door seals and now the rear headlining is almost in. Not a bad days work i`me really pleased with how things went today.

Looks really good you will be really pleased by all the admiring glances that the car gets when you are driving.
Last challenge the dreaded guttering!
Mind having seen your metalwork skills not really a problem.

I have always hated doing the guttering, but its got to be done.
I already get people stopping as they walk past while i`me working on it. Dont mind but it slows the work down. Hoping to get it back on the road for the spring so i`ve got it to drive round in all summer, its getting closer now. Last job will be to waxoyl it all, and my other car at the same time.
Thanks for looking.

I havent really worked it out but roughly
I got a load of spares for £600, someone had started to do a traveller but cut too much out without bracing, and resulted in the project being scrapped. In the job lot were new steel rear wings, new outer sills, new rear boot floor panel (by the rear doors on a traveller), new rear post corner brackets, felt window runners for one side ect and also the 2 new wooden sides along with a load of mechanical parts and an engine with 15000 miles on it.
Parts i had to get were
2x front spring hangers (ebay

) £16
Other panels from birmingham morris minor center £250
window runners, rear carpet set, rear door seals, sunvisor clips, reflectors, lower trunnions ect from Bull motif £240
Polished aluminium trim for the grille £35 (genuine B L part)
2nd hand genuine front wing £35
Rear wooden doors £250
varnish and preserver £50
Welding gas and mig wire £80
Screws sealer ect approx £80
Undercoat and paint £125
Aluminium sheet £20
This comes out at £1781, theres probably something i`ve forgot but this is about right. I only have to get the aluminium gutter now and then waxoyl to finish so it will have come in at under £2000.
So i`me really pleased with the cost overall, the bulk lot of parts helped out a lot.

Finished fitting the interior wood today, this is what it looks like. I`me thinking of doing the headlining capping and where it is secured over the back doors in the same wood as they are marked.

They would love the time off school. Kyle just missed out on the school minibus servicing class, but he will get in next time.
Then he can start doing my cars
As i am working outside i have wrapped it up now untill spring. It will only take about 2 weeks then to get it ready for MOT, then i can pose all through the summer

.
Now to fix the other car, radiator decided to go last week, will it never end.

Well as i work on my traveller out side i wrapped it up for the winter, but now we have had some nice weather i was itching to get back to it. So here are some updated pictures from the last week.
I havent cleaned the dum dum sealer from off the guttering yet, it is actually better than the photo shows it as.
[frame]

[/frame]
New carpet in the rear and fuel pipe cover, the old cover was scrap so i made this one from aluminium. I am waiting now for new aluminium strips for the load space carpet.[frame]

[/frame][frame]

[/frame]
The guttering really is my achilies heel, but in the end it went on with loads of dum dum behind it. Havent cleaned that off yet, it does look better than the photo shows it.[frame]

[/frame][frame]

[/frame]
Finally got the rear doors fitting properly, they were a bit of a nightmare last year. So i fitted the seals and got them closed then wrapped the car up for the winter. This flattened the seals out and with a few minor adjustments they shut well now and seal well too.[frame]

[/frame]
Another picture of the oak interior, i had some left over so i have put a set on ebay to see if it sells. I have also done a set in mahogany. I know its not everyones cup of tea but it is really getting close to completion now, so if they fetch a few pennies it will help with the last few items i need to buy.

Had some time on the moggy again today, fitted new aluminium carpet strips in the rear, and the rear seat belts. Fitted one front seat and then run out of bolts to fit the other. Started fitting the carpet then run out of contact adhesive. Fitted the exhaust hangers, window wipers, bonnet rubber buffers, rubber stops in the rear window rails, wired in the front lights and finally fitted the wing mirrors. Not many photos as the jobs were small and wont actually show on pictures (the dust on the seats does though) but heres a few. Hope you like them.

Stunning looking car. My only dislike and it is not your fault, black interior to me just looks wrong.
Bet you are proud as can be with the result, you will have to get used to folk taking a double take as you drive by!

I would really like a blue interior, maybe in the future as the back seat is a little tired. But just want to get it on the road now. Its nearly there now not much more to do, fit the rest of the interior, door treads and both bottom trunnions. Then waxoyl it, give the brakes the once over as the rears have now seized and its ready for its mot.
