Hi! It's great to see so many youngsters here. I was worried at first that there weren't many but theres loads joining now! (17 here BTW)

Same worries here, Andy! I thought - "there can't be that many people my age with minors.. they all want to drive focuses. D:" I've been proven well and truly wrong!
I'll probably join up and attend a few rallies once i pass my test - it's not really dad's scene, or many of my other friends. they're all into suped-up hotrods and don't appreciate how lovely just cruising along slowly can be!

Before I passed my test I managed to get my parents to drive to the rallies, they may have been a bit reluctant to go far at first but they soon caught the bug! I get the distinct impression now that when I move out they're gonna want to buy a minor of their own.
Just remember that when your friends in their euroboxes start to make fun of your car it's only because they secretly love it and are just jealous!
I'm yet to meet anyone who doesn't have a soft spot for morris minors (apart from possibly those who think it's a beetle
)

All you people buying Minors, wish I had the cash/driving license!
I hope to buy a Minor next year, although by then I'll be 18, practicaly ancient in this new Moggy buying trend!
BTw, as far as car names go, I'm liking Fizz!

You just get used to bystander's reactions after a while and start not to notice it, until you give somebody a lift and they start giggling about the fact that everybody is staring at us.

Just getting back to the original question at the start of this thread - insuring a Morris as a young driver. I bought my first Morris 15 years ago when I was 17 and the cheapest insurance company by a long stretch at that time was Wren. They've now been taken over by Brit but, as far as I'm aware, they still offer agreed value insurance for young Morris Minor drivers. I remember paying about £300 fully comp for my insurance! They used to send you a list of approved Morris specialists for insurance valuations but the cost of a valuation is very small (usually about £10-£20). It's definitely worth approaching Brit Insurance for a quote and just see if they still offer Morris Minor agreed value insurance.

theirs me with a 57 saloon which my dad drives (im 15 years old)
ive got a mate in atherstone who is 15 and owns a 54 saloon which is off the road. hes on the message board (mmjosh)
their andy (sidney61) on the message board
and theirs the 16 year old guy (which i forgot his name) is turning his into a gasser which is also on the message board
thats all i know of??????
