anyone out there who wants to sell her or his March 1978 to March 1979 1.8 estate with automatic transmission and towbar with full years MOT in about 12 to 18 moons? preferred colours are orange, brown and blue!!! also all on one car
should have sorted out the next 30 years of my life until then and will need a decent car then - already have two - 4-doors of course lol

We really should start a thread on peoples top 10 worst cars - bet most of them are eastern block
best car I've ever had is eastern block. (best value, best mpg, least rot, most street cred etc...)

Thanks to the Trabi I can always get out! It's the other cars that keep breaking down.

How can you irritate your pets like that? The RSPCA will be on to you!

Top Gear Australia racked up $200 000 in damage repairs in their first season. The general consensus is that they are going to find alot of closed doors when it comes to getting vehicles from dealers in the second season (God help us) if there is one. NB $200 000 AUD = GBP 4.33 or thereabouts.

Well I think in all it's all down to experiences! someone complained about the Metro, have 2 of these and they're absolutley brilliant, low mpg and highly reliable, only complaints is hydragas units not good for Maltese roads and steering and suspension parts availability, as far as Mini goes have no idea why they break Metros to mod Minis as I also have a Mini which is bloody awful to drive and highly unreliable! and with every drop of rain we get it stops

so I think in all it's all down to different experiences, my final point is it's always a shame to break a good car whatever the car is!

No doubt the best car I've had and still have is the Morris Minor, if you guys know what it is
I also hail the Marina as one of the best cars due to the numbers surviving up till las year over here
Japanese highly reliable but very poor quality body finish!
Oh I also have a Skoda Felicia, which is also very good!! beleive it or not!! 143 000km and still going strong!!

but since not being British it doesn't get the respect the Minor, Mini and the Metro get!

Actually, one of the perverse things for me watching the top gear is that I quite fancied some of the Russian cars. I have to admit I'm a bit strange in that way. The awfulness of the Yugo's gearbox gave me much amusement
But then I've wanted both a Moskvich (401) and a Tatra (603) (and an East German Trabant) for years...

Im a massive fan of top gear, I love the fact that they do what ever they want and trash what they want. It shows we can still have a laugh, and shove two fingers in the direction of political correctness and health and safety, whilst annoying a few people as we do so. If you dont like it, DONT WATCH IT and then write in and complain about a programme your not obliged to watch! Of course, freedom of speech and all that...but for gods sake get a life, go and do something useful!
The Marina was an "unpleasant log laid by British leyland" and the Lada was a sack of crap, the more off the roads the better, and lets face it some nutter will always have one kept aside for posterity's sake. Some cars deserve a place in history (Mk1 Cortina, Moggy, Fiat 500, Datsun 120Y) others dont. I was happy to see they trashed another Marina tonight on top gear just because the Owners club wrote in and complained, fantastic bit of "we'll do whatever the hell we want"! Long live top gear and the entertainment it provides!
