Very jolly rally, left my brakes behind though, had to do the last two miles home using a combination of engine braking, hills and handbrake

Any idea why they failed and if it's linked to the brake light failure earlier?
Maybe stomping on the brakes [to 'kick' the switch into action] found a weakness in the system.

No I didn't win the "Grope"! I won 2nd in Modified! Thrilled!

Glad everyone got home safely - brakes or no brakes!
Where's this meal going to be Dale? Sounds a nice idea but could we make it weekend cos of work in the am?

the meal would have to be somewere central so its fair for everyone driving,it would be on a weekend.,or if people prefere i am having a barbie on the 23 august at my house.i have got a fair bit of space.some of the herts branch will be going.i want to keep it fairly low key.it will be bring your own food and drink,and a chair how does that grab you.

i have had a thaught as its the bank holiday weekend,why dont we leave it untill the following weekend and say saturday 29 august,and go for a meal in a pub some were.we need somewere central so people dont have a long drive afterwoods does anyone have any ideas

'Sleepy' Lavendon [Bucks] has a very good pub! Infact, 2 very good pubs for food. I'm happy to organise the booking.
The locals would never forget it if a convoy of Moggies turned up. Would probably get in the news
