roger i will be comming straight from work in harpenden,so i recon i will be at twinwoods around lunchtime i will still be in my postmans uniform i hope you dont mind dale.

I'm in 2 minds at the moment... As Phoebe is playing up with a different problem each day and desperately needs taking off the road for some cosmetic work, along with some mechanicals. I'm toying with the idea of dusting off Mirium and running her up the MOT place then giving her a run down. I'll have a think at work and decide later.

hi roger it sounds like saturday will be easy due to the impending industural action. hopefully there wont be miuch post about so i hope to meet you all at the garden center,if not then it will be at twinwoods just have to see how the day pans out dale.

Well I don't mind if there are only a half dozen of us but it would be nice to have a good crowd.
I'll bake a cake and perhaps some suasage rolls.

10.00 Meet at Milton Ernest Garden Centre Just off the A6 5miles north of Bedford. They have offered us the top of the car park by the road.

Meet up have a cup of tea and breakfast.
11.30 Travel 4 miles and back in time 60 years to the Twinwoods Airfield museum and the Glen Miller Museum.
Control Tower
Aviation
Military Transport
The Axis and the German Bunker
WWII Fire Service
15.00 Scenic drive through North Beds villages and over the stone bridges.
16.00 Picnic by the river if the weather is nice.
or retire to local public house for a shandy if the weather is poor!

I would come but my presence is required elsewhere as it's the mother-in-law's birthday on that date - I'm still seeing if I can persuade her that a trip to the Glenn Miller museum would be a good birthday present, but she's not convinced. However, if she's working on her birthday (a possibility as she works in retail), I may be able to make it. Won;t know until the day.
