today went to amberley working museum near arundel sussex.
it was a post office day and there were 1 morris minor gpo van, 3 red mail vans and the rare rubber wing red mail van
saw quite a few classics en route and all together a very nice day

Shame the cars were parked in the overflow car park, as I don't think many people realised we were there. We saw quite a few other classics on the way there, and I think around 40 Minors turned up at the railway museum. My petrol pump packed up just leaving York, but I managed to get it going for long enough to get home!

Didn't get out till about an hour ago!!! It was already dark, still I did a 30 mile round trip, stopping at a petrol station on the East Lancashire Road, where a gentleman of some years informed me that he had a four door traffy blue job at home, that he hadn't had out for a few months. I mentioned Drive-It-Day, and he is a little better informed at least, for he knew nothing of it.

Perhaps a full page national FHBVC advertisement next year?

Well I'm still grinning after my first proper Minor drive in 5 Months; a round trip of 98 miles to Crich & back.
There were over 50 Minors there including 2 Millions. There was a film crew filming a promotional film for Crich Museum and many folk were filmed/interviewed. Part/all of this should appear on utube apparently.
At the end of the day about 10 of us went for a meal at a local hostelry, which was a very civilised way to end proceedings.

Had a very pleasant 182 mile round trip to Crich today. The first good run in the car since July last year for one reason and another. My 1000 ran like a dream and I got waves and flashes from a good many classics along the way (only two miserable so and so's in rubber bumper MGB's failed to wave back)

The day at Crich was very enjoyable including the parades along the main street amongst the trams.

Like a lot of other people, driving my Mog always puts a huge smile on my face and leaves me wanting more . I hope everyone else enjoyed drive it day as much as me (even though I did have rain for most of the journey home)

Had a very nice round trip of 170 mile, mainly in pouring rain though very misty on the North Pennines although we all had a good day.... tyical English weather....
Looking at Lyndas photo's I wish I'd had a shorter drive to York.. the weather looks a lot better there funny thing just crossed my mind, Last June when Tris met up with me for the show at Raby Castle, ( north of me ) it poured with rain all day and the show was abandoned just after dinner time, my mate who went to a show at York was sat in glorious sunshine all day d'ya think I'm doing something wrong

Well I went out for a pub lunch in the Hertfordshire countryside covering around 40 miles and only saw 2 other classics both MG`s a Magnet and an MGB the weather was very warm but cloudy and a little surprised that I didnt see more classics.

It was a lovely day out, seeing the great countryside around Oxford.
I did about 130 miles, which classifies as a short run

The East Kent club did our drive it day yesterday (with all 13 cars sporting St George cross flags), from Dover Transport museum to Lathe Barn in Hythe for a ploughmans- we did see some other classics going the other way who acknowledged us with waves.

Had a good response from the general public too, thumbs up and beeping horns and lots of bemused bystanders! Either was a good response or "get out of the way!".

It was glorious weather in the South Mal, got a head like a beacon now

Lot of gardening and construction trips to do as well!

We went for an 85 mile drive from Downend (eastern edge of Brizzle) to Clevedon via Cheddar Gorge and back via the Clifton Suspension bridge. Saw a few Humbers, Hillmans & Triumphs on the way, and a load of what looked like A30's parked up at Cheddar (a blast on the horn as we stormed past elicited a few cheery waves ).

Did not see a single Minor all day. Come on chaps & chappesses where were you?
